Topical turmeric extract in a moisturizing cream formula reduces the appearance of facial spots and fine lines and wrinkles on human facial skin

        Background: Turmeric (Curcuma longa) has a long history of use in Ayurvedic medicine and is known for its potent antiinflammatory and antioxidant properties. Despite reported efficacy, the use of turmeric in topical products has been limited due to its bright yellow color, characteristic odor, and stability constraints. Here we evaluate a stable, almost colorless turmeric extract in a moisturizing cream and demonstrate its ability to provide facial appearance benefits.
