Association between psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis in a nationally representative population in the United States

      More recently, analyses of the Korean National Health Insurance claims database demonstrated an increase of 1.95 in the odds of RA in individuals with psoriasis.

      Increased risks of autoimmune rheumatic diseases in patients with psoriasis: a nationwide population-based study.
      However, this relationship is yet to be explored in a nationally representative population in the United States. Therefore, we aimed to investigate the association between RA and psoriasis using the 2009-2014 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, which employs a complex multistage sampling design to obtain estimates representative of the population in the United States.
